Random Hangouts
Siam Square
Rama 1, 'Siam' skytrain stop
If you are interested in 'girl watching', you'll get an eyeful at Siam Square, Bangkok's teenager hangout. There are tons of young kids here, as well as a HUGE percentage of gay/lesbian couples. (all those female couples with one girl in a dress and the other in a shaggy haircut and jeans are gay, btw!) If you get bored here, go across the street to Siam Paragon (food floor in the basement is great) or Siam Discovery, or down a bit to MBK. They're all over the place!
Coffee Society
12/3 Silom Road
A coffee shop open until 4am in Patpong. Art gallery, food, etc. Attracts a large gay crowd. www.coffeesociety.co.th
Hair on Film
Siam Paragon, 4th floor. 991 Rama 1 rd.
A hair salon by the same owner of China Journal. Apparently a hair salon staffed entirely by lesbians. Update: Not entirely staffed by lesbians (unless they are 'dees' and my gaydar needs tuning). Tho the hair stylist did say that her boss is a 'tom' and that she has the same haircut as my girlfriend. My gf got her hair cut here, and they were very friendly!
